66 Malibu SS (Monogram) - Updated 17 May 2018

I've been working on this '66 Malibu SS by Revell Monogram.  The painting is mostly done, and I've just started assembly.  The kit called for a gloss black exterior and red interior.  I'm using a metallic black exterior and yellow interior.  The trim is done using Molotow chrome pen.

Looking good so far John. I know this kit has it flaws but for some reason I've always enjoyed building it. I've done a few over the years and this is my latest build off of this kit. I wanted a stock '66 1/24 to fit in with my diecast collection. Built using the Monogram '64 GTO chassis.

This kit has some major flaws in the way it fits together, but I'm making it fit.  

A little more progress on it.

Very cool looking. Last one I did, I messed with the wheelbase to get it looking a bit better. I also cut out all the flat panels on the front suspension bars.

It's looking bada$$ John, I'm diggin' it. I like the looks of those twin carbs and stacks poking out of the hood versus the scoop.
