They're regular AMT kits with a diecast of the kit subject included. Quality, fit, etc., are what you would expect from AMT, which is good all the way around.

Joe, not at  all correct!  I helped Dave Metzner develop the 1964 and 1994 GTO kits, when he was Polar Lights, and I was Johnny Lightning.  In addition, we both worked up that JL 2004 Ford GT-40.

I know the GTO's and GT 40 were previously PL releases. Notice that the boxes are all labeled as AMT/ERTL, not Polar Lights.
