This project was requested by former co workers of the former Crossroads Coffee house that was in Richmond Virginia . in 1968, I was introduced to this place and in 1969, a YOUNG piano player by the name of Bruce Springsteen also showed unexpectedly . By 1969, I found myself on the board of Directors who oversaw this 1894 Queen Anne Victorian turned Parrish Hall. In 2015, at a Crossroads coffee house re union , I was asked , then pleaded to on Face Book to do this as a scale model . The coffee house may have closed in 1983 , but memories live on . I'm privileged to be the historian for the place and I'm able to share memories of Bruce's early garage bands and other assorted memories to everyone who is a rocker ....

Now that is cool. I often quote the Boss to patients of mine. "Like a river that don't know where it's flowing, I took a wrong turn and just kept on going..." Absolutely fabulmodel Ellen.

Sam, I'm still constructing this one . I'm doing the Fire escape and already , people have asked me to bring this one to their automobile shows this summer !

This scale model diorama is going to be phenomenal and I am not surprised that you are being asked to show the finished building already. Such fine detail is an inspiration to us all on here, and gives us something to live up to.

That is impressive!  How tall is the model?  Any issues with warping etc?

David , to answer your questions , the building rests on a 4 foot by 3 foot base . The base contains the bottom half of the basement . The actual building is about  38 and a half inches long , almost three feet wide and nearly four feet tall

Wow Ellen ! - your building is bigger than my entire diorama, which is 3 feet by 2 feet 7 inches and under 2 feet tall. Also, you have the basement level below the base board...... maybe I should add the basement level of my building now that I have seen this build of yours?

That looks fantastic! Can imagine a little Bruce leaning against the back staircase.

I'm trying to picture my wife's reaction if I tried to bring a build of that size into the house.
