I have to say, I've really enjoyed the box art on many of the recent Moebius releases, particularly the stock cars. Whoever the artist is, he captures a real sense of motion with a hint of aggressiveness as well.

That IS nice. Dunno if I've ever seen it before. I wonder if these molds ended up with Lindberg?

I think Monogram got most of Aurora's old molds.

But Monogram has never put out a Daytona Cobra, and Lindberg has.

Charger?  That doesn't look like a Dodge!  Hard to imagine 2 bad guys chasing Steve McQueen around San Francisco in this thing.  AURORA box art from Mort Kunstler, who later became a famous historical painter.

There's a lot going on here.  The motorcycle cop writing a ticket.  The bored date.  The cranky driver yelling at the rug-rats harassing him from the fence.  And some sort of fence seems to be decorating the shorty pick-up bed of The Charger.

Yea. The above box art is great. It seems to me that I read someplace recently, that the kids on the fence are all the artist kids in real life. In fact I saw a photo showing the scene staged for the painting. I wish I could remember were I ran across that.

Not much there. But stick an AMT Chassis under it . . . <_<

WHAT AMT 1/32 chassis did you have in mind?

Here is a pic of the above mentioned Cobra .

I'll have to take a look at my Lindberg Cobra (molded in bright, almost Day-glo pink) and see if it's the same.

Your Aurora Cobra seems to be molded in the same dark metallic blue that my Aurora Mako Shark is in. I think their 1/48 F9F Panther Jet might be made of the same stuff.

Oooops. I was obviously thinking 1/25th and NOT reading 1/32nd on the box.

Lindberg did one in 1/25th as well.

Also K-B did a very nice slot car body. There's one in my stash with the AMT chassis in mind.

Lindberg did a 1/25 Cobra Daytona? I've never heard of it. As they've reissued almost everything they've ever done going back to some semi-horrid model airplanes from 1952, you'd think they would have reissued it many times over.

Closest thing to it I've ever heard of from Lindberg (in 1/25) was the Triumph GT-6, and those are ex-Pyro molds.

Non-automotive. But, we've slipped from that a few times here already. The original box art for Aurora's Batman model kit. Done by my favorite comic book artist, Carmine Infantino. IMO nobody could draw Batman or the Flash as well as Infantino.
