vamach1 Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 (edited) I painted a body with Testors Primer and it is still tacky after three days. I have never used a Dehydrator but maybe I need to look into getting one. Funny thing is I usually use a Testors model masters flat light aircraft or gull gray primer and it dries very quickly. Does it have to do with the glossier paint that it takes longer to dry than flat. With the only Hobbytown close by closing down in January the local paint selections are slim pickings. espo Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 Was your Testors paint enamel by chance ?? While Testors enamel paints are known to be slow drying, three days does seem unusually long time.

I'll give it a week.
jaxenro Posted July 19, 2018 Posted July 19, 2018 I am putting my painted items in a plastic box to keep dust out but was wondering if it keeps the air out would that delay drying?
