I never noticed on TV but it looks like an old fashioned doorknob up top

Very cool!!!!!!!!!!! Loved that show when I was a kid. My favorite episode is the one where Will and the Doctor have to enter the Robot when he was enlarged. So cool seeing the inside of the Robot.

Thanks everyone for the kind replies.

Purchased the kit earlier this summer from Hobbylinc and now it looks like he's out of stock.

Sure wish I could get my hands on the chariot.

I'm pretty sure he was Tobor originally.  I can't remember the movie that he made his debut in - maybe Tobor the Great?  Googled it and it is Tobor the Great from 1954.

A bit off topic, but speaking of robots....I saw a TV special years ago that focused on people's hobbies, and there was a guy who collected nothing but robots for years. This guy had everything you've ever seen, from lifesize replicas of movie robots to keychain sized robots. His entire house was full of stuff. Everyone collects something right?

Love your "Lost In Space" robot. Now you need "Robby"!

Thanks for posting this one. That is one of my all-time favorite movies. I scored a lifesize full color card board cut out of this bot at a movie rental store several decades ago. He now holds a place of honor standing guard in one corner of my model room.

Watched an episode today........man was it getting bad toward the end. Three guys that looked like they escaped 'Clockwork Orange' tried to take over the world.  In the episode Judy was attacked by a garden hose......SCARY!!

Little bit of trivia.........the guy who did the voice for the Lost in Space robot is the same fellow who did the voiceover for Tony the Tiger,

"They'rrrrrre GREAT! "

Darn if I can remember his name right now though...........  

EDIT: Whoops! I stand corrected......it was actually this guy.
