Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Finally making some progress on my Monogram '41 Willys Street Rod 1/25 scale. Went through some of my Dad's old paints and supplies that I didn't realize my Mom kept after he passed almost 7 years ago, and was able to find a couple of colors that I liked for the interior which was holding me up on this build, so I worked on that last week. Been working on the plug wires the last couple of days along with some minor assembly. Was able to get the few decals on last night and laid down the 2nd coat of clear today. Basically at the final assembly stage now, so I hope to have it done in about a week. It's done in Testors One Coat Lacquer Purplicious over white primer. I almost used the kit decal flames, which actually looked pretty good after I tested one out on the car, but decided against going that way because I liked the paint job too much to cover up. Plus I didn't want the car to look like the box with just a different color, so I found the Tribal decals on the Revell '62 Corvette Roadster 2in1 decal sheet and thought they would provide the look I was after. Everything else on this build came with the kit except the plug wires
