Zoom Zoom
Good stuff; looking forward to the KR and sounds like the Uptown Super Bee will be a lot closer to stock than the previous kit. Interesting to note that by the time these new kits hit, prices for Revell kits will be 30% higher than just a few months ago. The retail price for most of the new kits is $21.95. MrObsessive
I will take these... not sure what this one is though 1957 Chevy 150 (we already knew this one) That's this one here Clay........... VERY popular back in the "old" days! What's pictured is the "Black Widow" which was a successful racer back then. Not sure if Revell will give us the parts or not to build that one as I thought it was originally cancelled.
Clay
Thanks Bill, looks like I would want that one too.
george 53
21.95???!!! Wow it sure seems like Revell has forgotten about the younger builders with the price increases.I myself don't care, I'll keep on buyin , but these younger kids will have to get their parents to buy their kits for them.I can bet money ALOT of woulda been modelers won't get into the hobby simply because they can't afford them! Snap kits or not if a kid ain't got the money NO amount of "beginner"kits will help.21.95, yeeeesh,Pretty soon ONLY us old farts will be able to afford em! The kit itself was never really canceled; marketing "canceled" the "California Wheels" 2 'n 1 as it was originally to appear, and now it's to be marketed as a "Special Edition". The snap Hummer and GT500 are 1/32 scale.

I'm guessing all the 1:32 reissues have been good sellers. they still have the snap 69 Camaro as coming out in August no news about the 87 Cutlass and 87 Regal. I'm still hoping they eventually get done. but i'm not going to hold my breath.
Willy Survive
There are a couple there I want. But one question, whats with the "08 Bullitt Mustang" ? Was it something a custom builder or Ford did? I just really hope Hollywood's not gonna ruin another classic movie. Just never heard of the car. Thanks.
MrObsessive
AAHH! I see.......... I'll probably get one of those when it comes out............no one's ever done a really good '57 Chevy post sedan.

It's Ford's way of paying homage to one of the best car chase scenes ever to hit film. Not to mention it'll be one of the last special editions of this particular series Mustang. Word has it that '09 will be a very short model year as the restyled '10's are getting an early intro. The shape Ford's in however, all that can change on a dime! Willy Survive
Cool deal I'll probably get it too then. Thanks for the info. I'm just glad to hear we're not gonna be subjected to some terrible remake with someone like Adam Sandler playing Steve Mcqueen's role and turning it into some "action-comedy". And I totally agree that is one of the best chases ever to be filmed. Thanks.

Clay
I guess Ford is doing the same thing as GM did with the Camero, first they had a retro style concept like this: but decided to go with this, don't get me wrong I love the fact that they revamped it but I liked the retro style better. Here is a couple of shots for the 2010 concept completely away from the retro style. But I have to say I kinda like it. Wonder if Dodge is gonna do ths same thing with the Challenger? Also here is a shot of a concept El Camino I think this could be achieved in 1:2 scale with a new camero kit and an El Camino kit. Unless someone has already done it. sdrodder
dang 21.95 . Thats almost half of my alowance. Probaly is with tax. Dang i think the only thing i will get then is the 57 post. The rest i will wait for swaps or will do my own conversions. I think the only place you can get cheap kits but with limited genres is at kb toys for amt kits 7.98 or on sale right now for 5.98. Well lets see.
Clay
Hobby Lobby frequently runs sales where they offer kits at 30 percent off the regular price. Plus, they have coupons every other week or so good for 40 percent off any item in the store. As for me, rising kit prices is one of the reasons I got a PT job at a LHS. Can you say "employee discount?" I wish I had a LHS close by, or I would do that. But the nearest one is Michaels and its 45 minutes away. sdrodder
wish i still had a hobby lobby. Here in so cal there are no hobby lobbys only micheals which have great coupons but always have the same darn thing. With those prices i think i will always wait till a swap and get me kits there or trade with the great people on this forum. Well lets see what happens. ismaelg
YAWN! Nothing on that flyer for me... except maybe, just maybe, the Hind helicopter if it's the old Monogram in 1/48, which I started 15 years ago and lost it since then..... Well, at least I'll save money for more paint and parts
