Spark Plug / Ignition Wire

I know this has been asked many times, but I have read through many posts and most recommend 30 -32 Gauge wire. Does anyone know a bulk  source to the type of wire Detail Master uses for their racing ignition wire.  .016 diameter?  As much as I like supporting businesses, paying $4.99 for a 2 foot section gets expensive..

search ebay for WRAPPING WIRE...u can get lifetime supply for 5 bucks or so

Check out Radio Shack.  I know they are basically out of business, but I have read they will be returning as a store within a store as part of Hobbytown.  Anyway you can order direct from them

Thanks.. I'll use it for my 4th of July build. Really that's not a big deal, the wire I use for my coolant line I could only find in red. Nothing a coat of flat black can't fix.

The stuff Detail Master (and ProTech) sell is really hard to find.  And it is much thinner wire than 30 or 32AWG Kynar Wire Wrapping wire.  It is some sort of specialty wire (I suspect that is it actually silver, not copper) and it has a high-temperature insulation.  I have been unsuccessful in finding a source.  I needed some fine wire for a miniature electronic project. I contacted ProTech and was able to get 10 feet of each color for a discounted price.

Peter, I don't know if this will fit your needs, but check out https://www.micronmeters.com/

They have insulated wire down to 36 AWG, and I think there is some with high temperature insulation. I use their 32 and 34 AWG for spark plug wires.

I'm all set for now, but thanks Hugh!  I'll bookmark that site for future reference.  I didn't really need hi-temp insulation for that specific project, but just by working with that wire I noticed that it is not affected by a 700 deg. F tip of my soldering iron.  It is also solid (not stranded) wire.

Thanks Kit Basher.. Looking at their site, the 32Awg is the same size as the detail master.. It show .37mm which is just a little under..
