espo Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 That's a tuff looking little truck. Great Patina, not over done and the perfect flat finish. The wheel tubs look natural in the bed. I'd love to see the power plant on this, and the interior.
89AKurt Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 This came out very nice, not overdone, just right. I have a WIP that will be inspired by this.
Day 2 Muscle Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Is that a die-cast? If so I think I've got one similar out in the stash room.. Awesome paint job...
Ryansrust6 Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 That’s a good looking banana hauler nice work
cobraman Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Very credible weathering job. Nice work.
Gerald Haney Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 (edited) No this isnt a die cast. I’ll post the engine and the interior pics a little later. Thanks for all the comments. Edited September 16, 2018 by Gerald Haney More pictures

DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Looks Great!! I like the weathering!! Great work!
Bucky Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 I had a real 1950 F-1 out in the back yard for about 20 years, and the finish on it looked just about like the finish on this one!!! It looks great!! I really like the use of the banana stickers on the doors!!
mchook Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 That's a great looking truck!!! That's some nice weathering too, I can never get rust to look right on a red paint job but you sure can. Great job, I can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Koellefornia Kid Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 I like the looks of this one! Great patina, nice stance! Got to go for some bananas right now...
Spex84 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Are those actual banana stickers?? Brilliant! Never would have thought of that, but it works perfectly with the patina theme. Very cool idea and great execution. I also dig how the backdrop looks a bit like a mid-century modern roofline...but now I see it's actually the bottom of an illuminated sign. Neat!
Gerald Haney Posted September 21, 2018 Author Posted September 21, 2018 those are actual banana stickers. I had the idea awhile back and just was waiting for the right opportunity to use them. I didnt know for sure if I was going to leave them or peel them to reveal the old paint underneath. As I was working with them on and aging them I decided to leave them and led me down this path. Thanks for all the compliments.
DumpyDan Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Well done, great looking weathering on the truck, I like the Banana sticker on the door the best great thinking.
