I'm looking onto buying a paint booth and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. I'd appreciate any input. I've looked at these online.

Some folks use them and seem happy. Those really aren't booths though,  just paint stations that remove the fumes. Truthfully,  I can't see how someone could get a blemish free finish without dust getting all over it, but that's just me.

Search, search search. There are so many existing topics discussing spray booths in the Modeling How-Tos section that you could stay busy reading them for hours. Please try a search first, odds are very good the topic has already been discussed with good info provided:

One example of what turns up using the above search:

One of the things you have to consider is what medium you use to paint.  If it is only an airbrush either of those you are considering will do.  If you use spray cans, the top one will likely not have enough grunt to take care of the over spray and fumes.  The bottom on might.  It will depend on how much air the motor moves.

I was surprised by how muh red paint was in the filter for the dehumidifier where I build the kits. I did the main painting from a can outside only to do few brief coats inside. The room is 26 by 40 and I sprayed in the opposite side of the room of the dehumidifier. Makes me also think I need to get a mask also.

A mask is a must.

Here is a link to Pace paint booths.    http://pacepaintbooths.com/pace/Products.htm I have the Mini Plus and it works real well.  These are a bit pricey, but I really like mine.

I also have  a Pace Mini Plus booth and it was some of the best money I have spent. I only wish at the time I bought a bigger one but money was hard to come by then. I am still thinking of buying a bigger one now. There is one down side the filters do get clogged with paint quickly. I buy mine from a local ACE Hardware and they are about $5 a piece, just keep that in mind.
