Tom99 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 I picked up this unbuilt MPC 1976 Monza 2+2 kit at Goodwill. I had to pay all of $3.99 for it.
DumpyDan Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Not bad, I got on this summer at a auto flee market 10 bucks, so you did good.
Tommy124 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Nice car. I got the AMT kit of the Monza SS on eBay at around 15 EUR (17 bucks) some time ago. As this is a rare kit at least here in Germany, it was an okay deal.
Jim N Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Looks very nice. I really liked this car back in the day.
RichCostello Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 When did the Monza come out? I didn't think they were around as early as 76.

bbowser Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Great score and build! I always liked these when new, much better looking than the 'X' cars from the General.

The Monza (and its corporate siblings) were known as H-Special , whereas the Chevrolet-only Vega was simply H-Body . I wish that I could've bought my friends' dad's '75 Vega coupe ( think : not the liftback body style ; more like a hardtop ) . It needed a lot of work , but was complete and operational .
Rider Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Nicely done! Can't say I have seen many of these over the years.
