mvadrag Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) AMT Ala Kart truck bed, AMT 32 Sedan chassis with Buick engine and a 34 AMT Ford truck chopped cab. I got the poorly chopped cab in a junk box from a friend, and decided to combine other old used parts to see what I could create. Edited September 25, 2018 by mvadrag 3
Bucky Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I think you've done a great job on this pickup!! The color looks just right for this build!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I like it. A LOT. Has a great period feel with all those vintage parts, looks like something built in the '60s. Very nice.
Snake45 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Beautiful work, and very creative. I don't understand why this was moved down to the "Truck" section when it's clearly a rod (on a car frame, no less). Plenty of early truck rods have been posted in the Cars Under Glass section, where they're entirely appropriate. Oh well, as I said, nice work!
1930fordpickup Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I like it, everything works good together.
Koellefornia Kid Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Looks very cool! Like those headers!
mvadrag Posted September 27, 2018 Author Posted September 27, 2018 Thank you for all the great comments. Oliver, the headers are from the 32 Sedan with a big chunk cut out and glued back together. This the the cab that started it all. Thanks for looking.
bobthehobbyguy Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 It looks like you rechopped the cab to give it a wedge cut. Nice work on modifying the headers.
Jantrix Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I like this. A master class in kitbashing right here.
mvadrag Posted June 29, 2019 Author Posted June 29, 2019 While looking for a 32 Sedan build up, I found this photo of the major assemblies.
BeakDoc Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 The true spirit of American hot-rodding captured in scale. Super cool!
Cpt Tuttle Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Wild, and I like it. Sometimes partsbox builds are the most fun of them all.
Dave Darby Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 Very cool truck. Deserving of a bump! It's got my favorite front tires on it, too!
Zippi Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 That 34 Ford pickup turned out to be a pretty kewl build José.
