thatz4u Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 I would like to find a rattlecan of this color, 1960 vintage "Polynesian Beige" it's a Ford/Mercury color....
TooOld Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Check this link . For older colors it would be best if you have the paint code . https://www.paintscratch.com/cgi-bin/select-color.cgi
Belugawrx Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) Duplicolor spray paint Polynesian beige doesn't seem to exist anymore... This is Pebble Beige , the closest alternate according to Google (who probably knows nothing) Edited September 25, 2018 by Belugawrx
DPNM Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) If you have an eBay account you can add " Polynesian Beige DupliColor Dupli Color Dupli-Color" (spelled all 3 ways-just in case) and if someone would list it you will get an email from eBay ( you need to specify to receive emails). Use the "Saved Searches" feature. This has worked for me as my paint of choice is DupliColor. I was looking for some discontinued colors and I did (eventually) find them. It did take a while for one but I bought it when it showed up. Edited September 25, 2018 by DPNM

Dentz Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 If you have an auto body/paint supply shop near you they can make a rattle can of just about any color. I've done that for many projects on 1:1's. My local shop uses Nason. I've never shot a kit before though. I would definitely recommend a good prep job with a good primer/sealer because I am not sure how 'hot' that paint is with styrene. From my experiences, with careful application the results should be just spiffy! I will be able to tell you this weekend though as I will be doing this to a Prowler in Chryco PS4 Platinum metallic.
oldcarfan Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 They update their product line periodically and remove the slower moving items. I've started buying two cans whenever I find one I need.
lordairgtar Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 NAPA in my area can custom fill a rattle can of any color. I'm sure they send it somewhere or order it for you. The best thing is you can get any formulation of paint...enamel , lacquer, single stage, base coat clear coat and acrylics. It's around 30 bux for a huge can that you can get lots of use from.
Ironman63 Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 It's not Dupli-color, but http://www.automotivetouchup.com can mix just about any color you'd like. Enter the year, make and model and a list pops up to choose from. You can order as little as a 1/2 oz up to a gallon. A 12 oz rattlecan runs about 20.00.
