Jay Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) I was going to keep this quiet until the Atlanta NNL, but I’m not good a keeping secrets! This will be DW’s 1993 Daytona car. I’ll be using the upcoming new Powerslide sheet. I modified the 89/92 Lumina to 93 specs using the Powerslide front/rear bumper set. The paint is Tamiya neon red, black, and white. I’ll clear this with Gravity tomorrow, wet sand, and polish, then wait on the decals. They hopefully should be in in a few weeks. Edited September 30, 2018 by Jay
bbowser Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Looks great so far. I always liked this livery.
Jay Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 Cleared with Gravity and polished out with the Gravity polishing kit. I can’t wait for the decals!
MarkJ Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Wow, polished out nicely. Can you explain how the gravity polish kit works? is it just sandpaper or a combination of sandpaper and polishing compound?
Hermann Kersten Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Great paint and polish job, looks great! Hermann.
Jay Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 (edited) Finally got the new Powerslide decals in for this. They are fantastic in every way! I’m hoping to have this wrapped up soon. Edited December 13, 2018 by Jay
Dave Van Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Never a favorite car but your craftsmanship is great!! I just bought the chrome body kit for $5 hope it comes out near as well as yours.
bbowser Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Great job! I always liked this car, from when DW was an owner/driver.
MarkJ Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Jay, What a totally outstanding build. Topnotch in every way.
