Super28 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 How do you get the red circle on NASCAR wheels? Decals for wheels, ie: air arrows
Fat Brian Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 The usual answer is to mount the wheel to something you can chuck in a drill and then with said drill solidly held in place you spin the wheel and use a very fine brush to add the line. This all reqires some precision and a steady hand and probably a fair amount of practice ad well.
BigTallDad Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 I use a home-made drill cradle http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/102101-a-handy-accessory/?tab=comments#comment-1428008
Jim N Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 What I do is paint the wheel white. Then I paint it black. Then take an xacto knife and lightly scrape the black paint of until you get to the white. Use a very shallow angle with the knife. When you have scraped off the black leaving the white ring in the wheel, use a yellow or red Sharpie and color over the white stripe. Below is an example
