A very nice idea for a kit

Hi,

I get these Pinterest suggestions daily, all being car related.

A recent one that jumped out at me was this one.

Man wouldn't it be awesome to have it in 1/24 kit form?

You can say the same thing about Porsches, but people seem to like them anyhow.

Yes, it is over the top. It's too low, too long, too everything.  It looks like a giant Hot Wheels,  and that's precisely why it would make a great subject for a kit.  It's a car that speaks to your inner 10 year old, and if the kitmakers are serious about attracting some new blood into the hobby, maybe this is the stuff they should be looking into instead of another request for a base model malaisewagen.

It also occurs to me if you wanted to do an updated version of Speed Racer, you could do far worse for a new Mach 5

Well, it certainly speaks to my inner 10 year old. My inner 10 year old says "yuck". My 10 year old inner self doesn't use the sorts of words that I would say about it.

Not for me at all, either in real life or as a model, but I am sure some will love it.
