Thanks!!

The 1:1 scale "V" from the Meteor will not bolt tho the Vicky grille as I did here, as the grilles from both cars are completely different, and AMT only tooled a add on "V" to be glued to the regular Ford grille.

I'm just saying that because I was tempted to make it look accurate (only the front end) and gave out as I was just reworking a older build.

It's a cool idea tough, to build a accurate Meteor out of the AMT '56.

Got it, thanks. I am familiar with Meteor and Acadian automobiles as I grew up on the Canadian border and saw them frequently. I referred to your Meteor grille as that is what AMT called it, innacurate as it may be. You have done an excellent job with this and would love to see a full on Meteor conversion some day  ( I know of a couple Acadian conversions happening elsewhere in the forum...)

AMT also did something similar with the '57 Ford kit, that has part of a Canadian grille included in the kit.

I don't like to work with resin, but was tempted by a '56 Meteor body I saw on Brazilian e-Bay a while ago. It was way too expensive, and just by the pictures it would require a lot of work, but I even added it to my favorites. When I finally decided to buy it, the ad was gone.

Oh, man...that is too bad, but unfortunately it happens a lot! That grille in the 57 is a weird piece. As I recall, it doesn't even fit the grille opening on the body, it's just a rectangular piece with a V on it. So have you built any Brazilian Fords? I know that you all had some cool looking variations on the U.S. 1965 Galaxie right into the 80s I think.

Yes, the part on the AMT '57 kind of weird.

I plan on building a replica of my '74 Galaxie, but my scratchbuilding skills are terrible.

The '66 Galaxie four door sedan was made here from mid '66 (as a '67 model) to 1983. The cars changed over the years, with different trim, different front and rear ands, and accessory levels, but even on a 1983 Landau the '66 Galaxie is easy to spot.
