It will be snug but the beast should fit.  Note the valve covers are not properly positioned just laid in place.

Thanks Dennis.

I hope to bring it to the club meeting Ron and you can see it in person.

Finally got some extended bench time Dann.  I'll post a picture of her on her feet soon.

They are resin and I don't recall the source.  Wheel backs from the parts box and tires (I think) are from the T-bolt kit.

Those wheels look like ones from speed city resin. Here is a picture from there website

I didn't care for the AMT hood so I modified the piece from the Trumpeter Street & Strip kit.

AMT:

As promised Dann  - the stance:

That hood does look good, and your stance looks like just about what I'm trying to achieve with that glue bomb I'm resurrecting. Drive on! B)

VERY nice, great work.

How well does the trumpeter hood fit the AMT body?

Gary, I had to add more curvature at the rear edge to fit the cowl and reshape the leading edge (shorten it and change the downward angle) to match the fenders.  The width was spot on.  I have a stock Trumpeter hood, I'll try to take some photos to show the changes.

The kit instructions show you putting the headers in the engine bay and kinda sitting the engine down on top of them.  Might require more engineering to get a solid fit - we shall see.:)

Here are photos comparing the stock Trumpeter hood to the tear drop unit I modified as described above.
