Paul Hettick Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 This started as a Modelhaus 57 Plymouth wagon. Grafted an AMT 58 front clip and suspension. Made a rear facing third seat, re did the seat patterns, cobbled up a wide block 318 by taking molds from a Franklin Mint 58 Plymouth heads and valve covers. Used the AMT Plymouth manifold and block. 2
Paul Hettick Posted January 14, 2019 Author Posted January 14, 2019 Also did the side moldings from evergreen stock.
Phildaupho Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Love it. Looks ready for a family vacation !!
Silver Foxx Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 A lot of nice work in this , looks great .
espo Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Very real looking build. I like how you created the seat materials to match the 1:1.
peekay Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Fabulous! This might already be my favourite model of the year!
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 That's purdy! The color is what really grabs me. I'm a sucker for this sort of "oddball" color. Steve
W-409 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 This is a great looking car as a Wagon. Seen a couple of them in 1:1 scale but this has to be the first model of this car that I've ever seen. Excellent work as always. This color is a perfect choice for a '58 Plymouth.
TarheelRick Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Beautiful build. Like the color combination and as mentioned that seat pattern is outstanding. Only thing missing is a couple of suitcases and kids in the back.
Justin Porter Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Really an astonishing and original piece. Something to be proud of, Paul!
Spex84 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 This whole build is magnificent, but what really grabs me is the fantastic boomerang seat pattern. Love it!!

Smitty Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 I'm always drawn to unusual subjects like this. The color is not what I'm used to seeing, which greatly adds to the authenticity. Also, it's beautifully done.
ATHU Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Looks absolutely amazing, love the color combo!!
BeakDoc Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Another stunner. To say that your builds are awe inspiring would be an understatement.
