Intmd8r Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 I know that the 1:1 was mainly an appearance package, but does anyone know if there is such a conversion available to turn the Revell Hurst Olds to Cutlass 442? Would expect it to be a decal package at best. Would be easy enough to modify the "Lightning Rods" to a traditional floor shift. Thx
Casey Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Can you start with the #4446 '85 Olds Cutlass 442/FE3-X Show car kit instead?:
Intmd8r Posted January 25, 2019 Author Posted January 25, 2019 You mean the Unicorn? I know these kits exist, but I have never seen one in stock at a store on on-line. No doubt this would be an awesome kit if you can find one. Just asking about a conversion kit since I have a pair of un-built Hurst/Olds in my collection.

No doubt this would be an awesome kit if you can find one. With Revell getting back on its feet within the last few months, I don't doubt supply isn't exactly plentiful, but it's hardly a unicorn, and you can buy two on eBay for a reasonable price right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/85-OLDSMOBILE-442-FE3-X-SHOW-CAR-1985-F-S-Plastic-Model-Kit-hedders20oo/163452556752?hash=item260e8815d0:g:kBcAAOSwgzFbaldL:sc:USPSPriority!53222!US!-1:rk:1:pf:0 I think you might be best off posting an add in the anted section, hoping someone parted one out and didn't use the stock, 442-specific parts. Buying the specific parts you need from an eBay seller who parts out kits and sells the parts in groups is another option, too. Maybe I don't know-- are there parts specific to the stock(?) 442 version you want o build which are not included in the 442/FE3-X issue of the kit?
av405 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 They're slowing coming back into stock: https://upscalehobbies.com/124-125-street-cars/740-125-85-oldsmobile-442fe3-x-show-car.html?search_query=revell+oldsmobile&results=142
Fat Brian Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 I just picked this kit up at Hobby Lobby two weeks ago, give it a little time and they should make it to your area.
Mike999 Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Here's a link to the kit on the Hobby Lobby website, for US $29.99. You're in Canada, so I'm not sure how expensive shipping will be. There's a Hobby Lobby in Niagara Falls, NY, if that helps. https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Model-Kits/Cars-Trucks-Motorcycles/1985-Oldsmobile-442-FE3-X-Model-Kit/p/80793363
