Had not been to a Walgreens drug store in months till today.  But to my surprise they had some Maisto diecasts including a 2017 Corvette C7 Grand Sport in dark gray metallic for $9.99.  I looked it up and Maisto has other Grand Sports in different colors.

I almost picked up that Capri from Rite Aid myself, but I went with a 68 Mustang fastback instead.

I got one of those last month. Mine's red. What color's yours?

This is the Welly Capri with Euro headlamps I got at Rite Aid last year.

Mine looks just like that, except it's a blue similar to Petty Blue or Ford Grabber Blue.

Meanwhile, found out the Burago Ferrari I got is a 250 lm.  It doesn't seem to be especially common. Looking forward to Snake-Fu-ing the $10 beauty.

I like the Capri.   Will also be glad to see that one with some detail work.  See how much better it can be.

Mine is red also, but it's a 67 not a 68. I wasn't wearing my glasses when I bought it. It's like the one on the right above. My son rolled it across the floor one time and the front wheels came off.  LOL

I didn't get this in today, but recently. I've got a few more on the way.

Picked up this nice 1:43 diecast model car from Ebay, which is a 1950 Jaguar MK V by Neo in brown. The car is LHD with US registration plates I think, also white wall tyres and an open sun roof. This is a very realistic looking model, so ideal for my photography, and it is quite rare to find.

Are you sure that is a RR? The grill and mascot appear to be Bentley. This is the period when RR and Bentley shared bodies, the Bentleys were less expensive as the grills were less expensive to manufacture.

I didn't get all of this today. The Cobra is the most recent addition. The Mustangs have been have all been acquired since my son was born late December. I'm hoping to make him a Mustang fan like me.

Here are a couple of Mustangs I've added to my now 9 month old son's collection

Hi Walter.... no this car is a Jaguar....... so not Rolls-Royce or Bentley...... the mascot is a leaping Jaguar. Actually, this Jaguar MK V is very similar to the Bentley MK VI which is also early '50's. ( glad you like it ).

I'm gonna have to find me one of them Capris!   It's listed on the Internet as a 1969 Ford Capri,  with left hand drive, that would be the German produced version.  I lived in Germany back when those were new, and our neighbor, a US Army Major, bought a white one. It pretty much was a mini-Mustang!

Burago Ferrari 250, says it's 1/24 but looks a little small, especially around the tires.

Measured it last night and based on wheelbase, it's 1/24.4, which is good with me. (That thing must have been TINY.) Will probably be one of my very next Snake-Fu projects, not that it looks like it needs much.

Really looking forward to your Ferrari 250LM project.  You would never guess it is one of my favorite Ferraris.

I think it's the same one at upper right in your pic. I think all I'll be doing to it is black-washing the grille and maybe sanding the tire treads. I don't think the headlights even need to be "white-stemmed."

I think the tan interior might not be right (the pics I've could find seem to show light gray/black interiors) but I'm not gonna re-do all that right now.

This just in.  A Danbury Mint 1962 Corvette which I really like as it completes my C1 Corvette diecast collection.  See the review at https://www.diecast.org/diecast98/html/asp/list_reviews/xq/ASP/id.914/qx/reviewpix.htm  by Jay Engel.

This is a side by side with the Revell Route 66 diecast Corvette.

Beautiful! If it were in Honduras Maroon, I'd HAVE to have one!

I have that Vette and feel it is a fairly spectacular piece.   This is my favorite body on the Vette, with the C2 rear and C1 front.  If I have my Gens correct.   You get the idea though.  And yes it could be something other than red, but I suppose the Mints got a really good deal on red, white, and metallic blue 'cuase there are an inordinate amount of mint cars in these colors.  Plus they were probably the most popular with collectors?   Or at least they popped on display?  My wife doesn't like red cars, so I have to be cautious about how many red cars we add.   Whatever it takes to keep her remotely interested in my hobby, eh?

Great score.
