Having looked at this JADA 1:24 Ford Anglia sometime last week, Gary...... I very nearly ordered one!  Might have been the price that stopped me..... I seem to remember it being a bit high?

David

Yes the price is the same as a plastic kit these days and it was only because I have a personal connection did I order it.

With the recent talk of Anglia's I could not resist ordering this JADA 1/24, especially since a college friend had one just like this one.  I used to stand on the rear bumper and jump up and down to get out of the snow in the parking lot.

The JADA Anglia arrived today and I was duped.  Though all the vendors on eBay listed it as 1/24th scale,  it measures out to be 1/20th scale.  Nowhere on the box is the scale listed so I can't complain too much.

The JADA name on the box was fair warning. Virtually all their stuff is way oversized.

I got one of these today. Looks like it shouldn't take too much Snake-Fu to be shelfworthy. With a little luck, I can get it done tomorrow.

I ordered this one the other day, which should arrive by the middle of next week..... it is a 1954 Ford Zephyr Zodiac MK I by Lansdowne in 1:43 scale. Looking closely at the photos of this model tells me that the door handles and the moulding strip along the side of the body should be chrome? Possibly even the window surround mouldings too.

I was thinking about this one, but being Jada, I kind of figured they would screw up the scale.

Today I got a Welly '69 GTO Judge, a Bugatti 55 sports car, and some kind of 3rd generation Camaro. I've already Snake-Fued the GTO and hope to have pics and a review of it up soon.

The postman was good to me this week.

Porsche 419 Diesel Master Tractor (not the Revell Junior kit, this is the big brother) by Kovap in tin.  Won it for $4.25.?

Jaguar SS100 by Franklin Mint.

Ferrari 308 GTB by Le Grandi Collection.

I have one of those FM Jag SS100s. Bought it at the toy show a couple years ago for $20. It need some minor headlight repair, but otherwise seems to be darn close to perfect.

I just broke out that Majorette Bugatti 55 I bought for $5 at last month's toy show and set it next to the Jag. The Bugatti might be a scale point or two undersize, but I think they'll display nicely together.

ETA: Just did the research and found out that the Bug 55 wheelbase is 108" (same as early Mustangs and Camaros), which is exactly 4.5" in 1/24. The Majorette Bug measures right on the money, so it must be true 1/24. Now I like it even more.

I've been on eBay again this week. I got to stop doing that! Several new die casts in. Here's one that came in yesterday. I had a little fun with Photoshop.

Latest addition to my 1:43 scale diecast collection is this 1965 Ford Transit MK I by Vanguards..... It is the dirty white van that was so typical of the '60's, complete with humorous sign-writing in the layer of dirt. I like it because it is an accurate model of the early Transit van, and it so much more interesting for the diorama than a spotless white showroom example of the vehicle. The model is from the Vanguards ' Hidden Treasures ' range.

I got a few new die casts in this week. Here's the first one: WCPD 1959 Chevy Sedan Delivery in green. It rounds out my Sedan Delivery collection nicely.

Wow! Those jeweled headlights! I haven't seen diecast with them in years!

Another win on the Bay. Couldn't pass it up cuz it was cheap. Very dirty and missing the top. Looks like it's all there and in good condition. I'll see it in about seven weeks.

My thoughts exactly, Tim..... I hadn't seen jewelled headlights on diecast models since I was a young boy ( 56 years ago at least ! )

Your Thunderbird looks great, and it's always nice to find something interesting on Ebay...... I keep looking, and things just turn up from time to time.

Nice!   I have the stock version of this one I think.   Good to know there are still some cheap cars still out there.

Another one I got in last week. I need to stay off eBay, dammit!

This is the problem, John...... I tell myself that don't need any more 1:43 scale cars in the collection, but then I go on Ebay and have a browse.... and next thing you know, there among the listings is a car that I must have. Your '64 Impala looks really good..... is that a 1:24 scale? The interior detail with the opening doors appears to be especially nice.
