Claes Ericsson Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 These are the two oldest I have; were there any issued previous to these and what did they look like? /Claes
afx Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Haven't seen any that old, what year(s) are they?
Claes Ericsson Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 Ca '59-60. From memory, the left has the '60 annuals (kits, frictions) listed and the AMT 27T Roadster as "coming", the right one has the '61 Jo-han frictions listed as well as the '60 kits and the AMT 25T listed as "new".
Mark Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 The first one was 1959. I've seen a grand total of three of them, including one I have now and another I sold a couple of years ago. If you're looking to build a complete set, there was no 13th edition.
Deathgoblin Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Used to have a few from the early 80's. Always wanted to order something from them.
afx Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 They were a young boy's wish books! At least they were for me.

Mark, do you have a pic of that catalog?
unclescott58 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Below are all the Auto World catalogs I have so far. The early era Oscar catalogs are much more interesting than the later Oscar ones, or the new Round 2 era ones. Though I do appreciate Round 2 doing the catalogs they've done.

I've got one with that style cover, but have five different un-numbered catalogs prior to the first numbered one, #6. Here's the first one...
