Dave Van Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 After refueling was made illegal, pit stops in F1 started to get near the 2 second mark. But 12 guys, 4 lug nuts and tires that are super light, cars that don't weigh much....... Do like the Cup guys with heavy tires, half the crew, heavy cars and 22 gallons of fuel in 12 seconds is equally impressive. I enjoy both series for what they are.
espo Posted March 7, 2019 Posted March 7, 2019 You have 19 people over the wall, at least that was all I could count from the overhead picture. Seems to me in addition to their assigned duties their biggest issue is staying out of each others way.
THarrison351 Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 If Williams was only as reliable and fast as their pit stops. They would be formidable.
NYLIBUD Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 That's absolutely wild, but isn't there a speed limit on pit row?

Atmobil Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 A fellow Norwegian built this a few years ago: He spent a lot more time on it than the pit-stops but even when standing still you can get a feel for the speed in it.
