kymdlr Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 (edited) Revell Kit. Testors Metallic Green. Rear Tires are resin from Fireball. Front tires will be getting matching decals soon. Wired 426 Hemi from a 71 Cuda detailed w/ scratch & parts box parts. I had never seen one of these built w/ the headlights in the open position so I scratch built those pieces and positioned them in a partially open position. Added valve stems to all wheels. A couple other small details added. Edited March 16, 2019 by kymdlr
Classicgas Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Very nice. The 71 Cuda Hemi is 1/24. Did you mean the Revell 70 Cuda Hemi?
Brutalform Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 That’s one mighty fine build. I really like the color, and your detailing is top notch, especially the interior pieces, and what you did to the headlamp doors. The engine looks very realistic. You can’t go wrong with Fireball products.
RAMBENNA Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 very nice work, looks fantastic. Great color and detail
Kmb0319 Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Gorgeous work!!!! And, I guess we think alike... I haven’t posted mine under glass yet because I dropped the hood and broke it in half. Getting it repainted now. Other than the tail stripe/interior, we had the same concept. Your build is beautiful, and that is some impressive work on the headlights!!!!
Slimguy Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 The detail on this build is very nice, especially enjoyed the engine compartment. Very nice work.
Buffs Fan Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I like that green... And great job on the build
Tommy124 Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Great result. It seems like green is a perfect color for this car. Am I right in assuming that you opened/ scratch-built the headlight housings?
kymdlr Posted March 20, 2019 Author Posted March 20, 2019 Thank you all for the comments! Yes Tommy I opened the headlight area with a dremel and then scratch built the housings with sheet plastic & modified parts box lenses, it was a pretty simple fix.
