Was the Dodge Charger Daytona ever kitted with a proper NASCAR chassis under it?  You know, roll cage, suspension, engine, wheels/tires, etc., etc.  Thanks

No! MPC did do some with a generic racing chassis but that’s as close as it gets. I make my own out of Revell Charger Daytona kits. Not too difficult if you like to scratchbuilt. Here is some in progress pictures I’ll see if I can find some further along pictures.

None of the kits ever had the correct frt bars and dabbed K members that the race cars had.

Still have my copy of SAE from Oct 1990 which has the article on how Doug Whyte converted a MPC Daytona Charger to a NASCAR version. See the PDF file below.

That’s ok but missing the fabbed  K member that Nichels engineering added when they built these cars.

Is this the K-member you are talking about?

Here is one from Richard Petty's car.

Under the No 71 K&K insurance car or if it was the No 6 Cotton Owens car.

One would think the MPC #71 K&K Insurance kit and the #22 Brooks kit would be the same as both are '69 Charger Daytona's and meant to be NASCAR race cars, but no...the K&K Insurance kit has the same basic stock chassis from any of their Charger kits with some bits to make it look more like a race car and the Brooks kit has the generic NASCAR chassis they used on other NASCAR kits...so none are really correct.

The #71 K&K Insurance kit.
