RodBurNeR Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 I rebuilt from an original built up that was molded in black. I painted the white walls for the first time. I added the spreader bar up front cuz i was going to build the box art model, but i didn't get the color right. There is NO firewall and there was not one on the car. Kids built this car channeled back in the 60s with no firewall.....###### thing won't fit unless you cut it almost to a sliver to sit against the cowl anyways....so what's the point? I had intentions to rebuild it and have fun, hope you enjoy! Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki this is how it started... Hosted on Fotki
george 53 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Good save Bob, I've always liked the AMT 32, even if its not all that acurate. I musta built a ton of em over the years, to me, it was the first Hot Rod I EVER built, and I STILL like em! Great save!
Willy Survive Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Awesome work Bob. I like this kit too and I have 2 of them. Great 60's "California Rod" look. Thanks for sharing. -Will
Eeyore Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I really like the period look of this car. With the white walls it kind of has a 50's/early 60's flavour to it however it's well and truely brough into the 60's style with the candy metallic paint. It reminds me of this mad channeled A coupe here in Aus although not quite as low...
RodBurNeR Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 THANK YOU! Eeyore, if you like this one....check my last one out. (pics kinda suck, was trying the blackground) Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
