Lorne Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 I found AMT's 1937 "Orange Blossom Special" truck. Is that the only 1937 chevy truck out there in 1/25 scale?? Trying to duplicate a killer pro street truck!!
Lorne Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 Gotta say thanks again to DrKelly for the purchase on the Orange Blossom Special, provided me great stuff!! Still looking for another one (spare). When I cut this one up, I need another 37 truck for the "oops" factor. Was hoping someone was casting in resin!!?? Thanks L

Mr. Metallic Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 FYI, years ago Tim Boyd did an article in the other magazine about turning the OBS closer to stock(though still a street machine), which might be worth a look before you start yours.
Lorne Posted April 4, 2019 Author Posted April 4, 2019 Thanks Mr. Metallic I have every issue of the other magazine will have to check it out
Chariots of Fire Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 The OB Special is the only one I know of. It was orange soft plastic; not the nice stuff that most kits are made of today.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 I recently used an Orange Blossom Special kit for a build. The cab is a little off with the windshield being too small for stock and the side window are angled too much. However, this would make it perfect for your build.
Brian Austin Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 Danbury Mint made a diecast '37 Chevy pickup and a heavier-duty truck (2-ton, maybe?) in 1:24 , while Liberty Classics did a pickup collectible band in 1:25 or 1:27 scale. Note apparently DM also did a '37 GMC pickup.
crazyjim Posted April 17, 2019 Posted April 17, 2019 I want to see how you replicate those gorgeous flames.
