olschoolkid Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Really nice Studebaker. It kinda reminds me of a Thom Taylor or a Steve Stanford design.
Koellefornia Kid Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 interesting concept! The roof line suits the body well!
Claude Thibodeau Posted April 26, 2019 Author Posted April 26, 2019 Hi! Thank you for the comments. To be associated with Mr. Stanford is quite a compliment... CT
Dave Darby Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Holy moly that's nice! Flawless execution and gorgeous concept.
Gluebomber Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) I like this one a lot.Ā Really nice work! Also, your color choices were perfect! Edited April 30, 2019 by Gluebomber
Karl LaFong Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 Nice job of bringing Raymond Lowey's design into the 21st century!
Claude Thibodeau Posted May 3, 2019 Author Posted May 3, 2019 Thank you Keith! History tells us he was not an easy person to work with... but judging by his work, nonethelessĀ Ā an influential designer. How many cars drawnĀ after WW2 are still looking mostly contemporary to our jaded eyes? The 53 Stude is certainly among them.Ā I'm building a roadster version today, in the "less is best" philosophy. I'll post it here when completed.Ā CTĀ Ā

Claude Thibodeau Posted May 5, 2019 Author Posted May 5, 2019 Hi! Thank you for the comments. Don't forget, it's still just... a curbside! CTĀ Ā
misterNNL Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Absolutely the most beautiful '53 Studebaker I have ever seen ! Congratulations on a well designed and executed model.
Claude Thibodeau Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 Hi Mr. Woodruff! Well, from one of the original luminaries, it is quite a compliment! I could not ask for more... Regards, CT
Lunajammer Posted May 9, 2019 Posted May 9, 2019 There's a lot of inspiration here. I can't get past the slope of that windshield, which kind of throws a wrench in the works, but all the rest isĀ inspiring. Beautiful body and paint.
Claude Thibodeau Posted May 10, 2019 Author Posted May 10, 2019 Hi Mike! Actually, a friend on a model forum (Koolestkruzers.com) in France felt the same about the rake of the windshield... But it is the actual Chrysler Atlantic Concept angle... I just transplanted it on the Stude body, with the alterations described in the intro of this post. CT
Cpt Tuttle Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 Very nice flow in the lines. I guess that if someone tried to bring back Studebaker today, this is how they would look. Nice!
