mrmike Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 This is my 2006 Cadillac Escalade painted with Tamiya TS-18 Metallic Red with a Tamiya AS-15 Tan (USAF) interior, raised suspension and Pegasus Phat Daddies wheels and tires.
kelson Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Beautiful looking Caddy!,but I think the window trim would`ve looked better in black.
mrmike Posted June 11, 2019 Author Posted June 11, 2019 Thank you Curtis! I never cared for black trim all that much, so I went with chrome and silver.
KWT Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 (edited) Very nicely done Mike. Enjoyed watching this come together and the finished product looks great. I kinda dig the chrome trim. Gives a "higher end" look. Just curious, was there a lip to add it to the back windows? Edited June 11, 2019 by KWT

Jeremy, there is a slight lip around the windows and an even shallower lip around the two side and rear dark tinted windows. I choose not to try my luck around them.

Looks good either way!
kilrathy10 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 This is a cool model... I like the work you've put into this one... The wheels look good...
espo Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Great looking build and I like the color combination with the interior. Always good to hear of McNally's exploits.
mrmike Posted June 13, 2019 Author Posted June 13, 2019 Thank you JT and David! 8 hours ago, espo said: Always good to hear of McNally's exploits. I'm glad to hear that, David! I try to keep the stories entertaining.
Cpt Tuttle Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Bright red Escalade with chrome wheels, nothing for the shy guy. But the build itself looks great, nice finish.
mrmike Posted June 13, 2019 Author Posted June 13, 2019 Thank you Mattias! Sometimes a subject will come along and the boxart will have the right color that just appeals to you. The Escalade boxart appealed to me and I just had to paint it that color.
Dominik Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Looks good - well done! Color and rims like the boxart Shows. i'll built mine classic in black
djmcguire Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Build looks great and enjoyed watching it come together and like what you chose to do with the color-matched grill too. Excellent end results.
mrmike Posted June 13, 2019 Author Posted June 13, 2019 Thank you Dominik and Daniel! I'm rather happy with the way this Escalade turned out! From the grille to the wheels and the dual exhaust-I'm happy!
oldcarfan Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Beautiful build. I've looked at this kit on the shelf, but haven't bought. I may need to now!
mrmike Posted June 17, 2019 Author Posted June 17, 2019 Thanks Gary! For me, it was adifferent kind of kit to build. Especially when I discovered that it was a curbside.
