Scott Colmer Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 This was part of a 50's style exhibit at San Francisco Airport. Some pretty cool and iconic stuff to look at.
Eshaver Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Does anyone know how long this exhibit will be up ? I'm headed into the area and this might be of interest to readers of Still Runnin Magazine
The Junkman Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 I believe it is mentioned here: https://www.flysfo.com/museum/exhibitions/modern-consumer Terminal 3 (United) and after security checkpoint. If you're into planes there is an awesome and fairly permanent display on the baggage level of Terminal 3. All larger scale (like 1:18 and 1:24) scratch built and formerly at the Nut Tree complex. (Now there's a loss.)
Brian Austin Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 What are the two small models (#7, #8) in the middle-bottom row of the display?
peekay Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 5 hours ago, Brian Austin said: What are the two small models (#7, #8) in the middle-bottom row of the display? They appear to be Dinky toys, a 1957 Hudson Hornet (yellow car) and a French Dinky 1951 Buick Roadmaster.
Tom Geiger Posted June 25, 2019 Posted June 25, 2019 Thanks and a good coincidence! I will be flying United through SF on Wednesday! BTW, this is hanging from the ceiling at the Seattle airport. Came through there on Sunday!
Tom Geiger Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 I saw it! There were many display cases of all kinds of cool nostalgic things! I looked quickly as I had a tight connection. Wish I had more time, I would've photoed it all.
