cobraman Posted July 12, 2019 Author Posted July 12, 2019 Just a mock up , still plenty to do . Some may say too high in the front and I will have to agree but not sure I want to mess with it at this stage .

Aww, the front's not too high, you just need to jack up the rear end some and add taller slicks. Edited July 13, 2019 by magicmustang
bobthehobbyguy Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Looking good. Its your model do it the way you want it.
cobraman Posted July 13, 2019 Author Posted July 13, 2019 Thanks guys. I really didn't want it this high but I messed up with my early mock ups. Been building over 50 years and you would think I would know better than to make stupid errors. I guess I do not !
bobthehobbyguy Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Any pictures of the chassis. What did you use f or front axle.
cobraman Posted July 13, 2019 Author Posted July 13, 2019 Thanks. I just shortened the kit chassis. As it has all the detail molded in the underside is not a thing of beauty. Front end is resin springs with plastic rod axle. No high tech for this old guy.
PappyD340 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 That's pretty slick Ray, love the tear drop hood!
slusher Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Fantastic looking drag racer, Ray! I really like it!
Modlbldr Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Looks great! I've been wanting to do this with a spare 55 Sedan that I have. May have to give it a go. Later-
fivesuns Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 I think it is great. Will look super on the shelf. I would love to see a picture of the undercarriage.
signguy2108 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Maybe for arguments sake, the frt is a little too high, maybe the w/well could have been a little further forward, but a great looking model as is. I love the color and the decals. here is one that sits abandon in an arkansas salvage yard....altered w/b and still got the straight axle and no, not for sale
