JollySipper Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Hey, Guys....... I just made an order from Model Roundup. While checking out, I saw a field where it asks for a coupon code....... Where does one get coupons for this site? I had to spend $50 just for a model and display case, any way to help save some money would be nice..........
Dragline Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Rotsa Ruck. I've been looking for a couple of years for a coupon code for MR. Have not found one yet.
mikemodeler Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Did you try calling them to ask where one can find coupons? I have seen that as well but do not order regularly from MRU so I never bothered to inquire.
JollySipper Posted July 9, 2019 Author Posted July 9, 2019 He does usually send my purchases Priority Mail when I always pay for regular Ground, so I guess that's a couple bucks saved...... Thanks, guys.....
Rob Hall Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 I don't recall ever having a coupon from them, I order from them all the time...only place I recall having a discount was Tower Hobbies.
Force Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I buy from Jack at Model Roundup a couple of times a year, and quite large orders each time mostly because kits are very expensive over here and I can't get everything I want and have to wait a long time for new kits to arrive here if they do come at all...so it's sometimes faster and cheaper, I have never had any coupon from them but he has given me a discount sometimes anyway, so I don't know how it works.
martinfan5 Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 (edited) The coupon code box could be a part of the overall eCommerce website system he is using, he is using a turnkey system and all that is probably included in the coding for the website, he may not actually have coupons . https://www.volusion.com/ https://www.brandlabs.us/ Edited July 11, 2019 by martinfan5
rob_h Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 My problem with MR is the price of the models then the shipping charge. I absolutely hate Amazon, but I bought a 66 f100 for $20 less and had prime so it shipped for free. It ended up at my neighbors 6 days later. . . But I have it almost done now. A coupon may change my mind here. And reading the previous posts, I think I will call and see what they can do for me. I see a couple on here I wouldn't mind having. Thank you
BeakDoc Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) I’m not sure if Jack at MR has kids or not. If so, I’ve probably put one thru college. I’ve been emailed coupon codes twice. One was $5 off my next order and one was free shipping. Admittedly MR is a tad higher than many online sources, but I usually have my order on the doorstep in 2-3 days and the customer service; should an issue arise; is top notch, so they are my “go to” dealers. Horrorshow Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 I found modelroundup prices quite high after shipping and price conversion (I’m in Canada). They do have some rare kits so I will use them if it’s something I have to have. Mike’s Decals offers a discount on your next order if you spend at least $50.00

Jack had it in stock, but wanted like $15 more plus shipping for it. I've been ordering from MR for about a decade, and will continue to, but I'll try to find a better deal first........
