Off Road BRAT

I wanted to do a backwoods beater from the BRAT reissue. To that end, I fabricated a lift kit, used some MPC Desert Dog tires, and wheels from an MPC Cavalier. I also added a turbo to help turn the big tires.

Get an air filter on that!    I like the color choice.  I know these were going for collector prices on eVilbay, funny they reissued it.

Yesterday I dug it out and made a winch and snorkel for it.

That's a cool Subaru. I've always liked the Subaru Brats, and I think a lifted 4x4 one is even cooler.

Update... the Brat now has spotlights and darkened panel gaps. And I took some better photos on my new "backdrop".

Hi Chuck, you’re becoming a real Brat aren’t you! I can’t decide which one I like more. Both great builds. I have one of these that I plan on lowering, ( I have a habit of lowering all my builds) and building as a pro touring style car/truck, whatever it is. I might be partial to the Rat Brat.

Next one will be lowered, with a V8 swap. Its been sitting around about 60% finished for at least a year. ?
