Ace-Garageguy Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 (edited) Dangity. I meant to comment on this one a while back. Lotsa good stuff going on here. The floors and getting the ribs right on the inner wheel wells are particularly interesting. Edited September 10, 2019 by Ace-Garageguy
Codi Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I have to be honest Jim that I only looked at the first few pics and the subject and moved on to another thread. My loss. After going thru the thread from the start I must say there are many interesting things you're doing on this build that are very cool. I like the approach you have in how you're designing and fabricating things too. Cheers, tim
CabDriver Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 Thanks for the lovely comments fellas! Did some work on the interior today, got the fuel tank, battery and seat in place for good, and did some wiring and plumbing Most of this won’t be super-visible once the body’s in place, but I like the idea that if you took a closer look there would be a load of extra stuff to notice: Got the wheels and tires assembled and got the frame off it’s scale axle stands ?: and a combination of those two sub-assemblies to make sure everything still fits ok: And a quick mockup with the body too, mostly to satisfy my curiosity of how it’ll look when it’s done: More soon, soon as I’ve done more!
CabDriver Posted September 17, 2019 Author Posted September 17, 2019 Pretty much done on this one - thanks for looking everyone!
larman Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Very nice! You really captured the early dry lakes/beach racer look!
Claude Thibodeau Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 Hi! The historic look is spot-on. ready for the pages of The Rodder's Journal. Wait 'till Steeve Coonan sees it... Bravo! CT
