Mahogany Rush Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 (edited) Built this mash-up because I always liked 4x4's and El Camino's. Color is florescent green (a bear to paint) Rustoleum. Many many light, mist coats to get it right. The hood was painted 5 times, but could never get it to match, so it's flat black. Wanted to do a Landau roof, but didn't want to order more paint. Donor kit was the Revell 1/24 1978 GMC Big Game Country and the '68 Elc was the yellow one with the soapbox car. Looked naked without a roll bar, so I made one. Engine and shocks are florescent orange. Hope you like it. Thanx for looking. Edited July 16, 2019 by Mahogany Rush
shoopdog Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 I like it! You can see that one coming from a mile away!
NOBLNG Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Nice! No problem finding that one in the parking lot.
LouO Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 It all came together nicely, and I need sunglasses to look at it! Nice build!
Goose1957 Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Very cool, I'll bet that paint really pops out in the sunlight. Just looks right, not overkill. Jeff
Cpt Tuttle Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Looks like something that would have been the vehicle of my dreams in my childhood, and I don't say that as a bad thing. Very cool!
jjsipes Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 WOW that's bright. When I first seen the title of this build, I thought about the one I seen on Diesel Brothers but that was a 71 or 72. Looks good.
slusher Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Very sharp and neat build!! I think the color rocks!!
