Revell GmbH reissued this kit a couple of months ago and I wanted to build it for the 50th Anniversary , strangely Revell USA is reissuing it in September .

Assembly is fairly straight forward , although the legs of the Lunar Module are a bit tricky . Very little painting on The Lunar Module except for a spray coat of aluminum  , but lots and lots of foil .  I used Chrome , Black , and Gold foil . . . enough for dozens of cars !

Here's a few more photos of the finished model , hope you like it !

Odd they didn't release it in the US for July.  Looks like a neat kit.

Maybe just an oversight with all that's been going on .

Wow!  Outstanding model of a truly epic event.  I often think about my grandparents going from horse & buggy transport to seeing men on the moon in one lifetime, makes one think.

Very cool!  Great job.  The foil makes all of the difference.

Thanks much Jim !  Any of these models have to be foiled , they just don't look right painted . :)

Here’s my contribution for the day!  The “Moon Landing” postmark slug went to the moon with the mission.

Just a page from my stamp collection.

Great diorama!  Lighting and backdrop too!  Funny how Monogram molded the shadows into the base.

How did you model the gold tint on the helmet visors?

Excellent job.I like that the lazer reflector experiment is included

Thanks !  Not many pics of the real thing so I wasn't sure how to paint it .

Thanks very much !  The visors are Gold BMF , it did wrinkle but is so small it's barely noticeable . :)
