Thank you Mitchy!

I finished assembling the engine and now to clean it up.  Here's a mockup with the frame.

More to come...

I got the chassis, suspension and the exhaust system detailed.  No.  This is not some sort of three wheel trike.  It's the wheels and tires assembled together  The instructions said to assemble the wheel halves together and stretch the tires over the wheels.  That whole process seemed wonky and I sandwiched the tires between the wheels and clamped them together.

With the wheels and tires all assembled, I slipped them onto the axles.  A mockup with the body, hood and front grille.  So far, so good!  I painted a few parts this afternoon.  The up top, boot, interior and floor pan and the spare tire holder.

No chance what so ever!  The wheels on the Morgan are of a smaller size.  I would like to change those wheels, but when you are building box stock, you are very limited on the modifications.

Thanks for the tip, Gary!  At this point, the wheels have been assembled and mounted to the chassis and I don't dare to do anything more to them since I fear that I'll make a mess out of them.

Thanks David!  I've been picking away at the dash panel getting it detailed painted.  Just a little closeup work.

I got the MG-TC into a bath.  When this have dried, primer is in its future!  These bits have been painted and dried!

This is looking very good, but I had a much newer '67 TR4A with twin SU Carbs like this and they were the most irritating thing on any car I've owned!

Keep it going!  :)

Thanks Mike!  It is amazing just how some of these old cars and their old parts really grated on us!  Back them, we would just chick them away.  Today, they are worth big bucks!

I got the MG-TC into two mist coats and a medium coat of Tamiya TS-9 British Green.  I'll add wetter coats of paint later.

A Play Date yesterday at streetrod's house with Paul, Pat, and myself gave me a chance to use streetrod's excellent paintbooth and put another two coats of Tamiya TS-9 British Green on the MG.  I was able to cover all the thin spots that the paint had drained away from and to deepen the color.  I'll let this dry for a day or two before I polish the paint.  At this point I think I'll avoid using any clearcoat since the paint has a nice gloss and the clearcoat will make the MG-TC too shiny!

Thanks Mitchy!  I really appreciate the link you posted and I will look it over shortly.  I choose the green/red color combination since it appealed to me when I watched an episode of For The Love Of Cars with hosts Philip Glenister and Ant Anstead (pre-Wheeler Dealer days).  Ant bought a red '69 Aston Martin DBS and he restored it with an olive green body and a dark red interior.  Last year I built a Tamiya Morgan 4/4 abd used the color combo of British Green body with dark red seats and it looks spectacular!  I decide to repeat that color combo  on this MG-TC.  Here's a picture of the Morgan 4/4.

I have this kit under my desk at work.   Waiting to take it home so I don't put aside other active builds to start it.  Looks good.  inspiring for my build.

Thanks Randy!  My only wish for the MG would be for it to have similarily molded wire wheels like the Morgan and the Jaguar Mk II from Tamiya.

There are some wire wheels being produced, but you have to lace them like a real full-size wire wheel.

Some work done on the MG-TC today.  Dash installed along with some chrome pieces.

More MG-TC to come...
