GaryR Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 VERY VERY NICE! Authentic look, I'd place it 62 to 64, more like 64 to me! You did a great job, a great model.
gasser59 Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 This is such a beautiful build Dennis. Really looks authentic to the period. Loved watching you overcome your challenges and your decision process.
tim boyd Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Oh how it sings! Great job bringing this one home, Dennis. Big congrats....TIM
Snake45 Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Spectacular! You really captured the look and feel of the era. I especially like your injector tubes. I"m gonna have to go back to your WIP thread and see how you did those. Well done and model on!
larman Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 Love this model !! So much to look at! Love what you did with the dash and all the details come together to make this a super build!
Straightliner59 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Nice work! Nice job capturing "the look", too. Very nice piece!
ChrisBcritter Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 This was worth the wait - great job! Maybe post it in the "Sunday Models" thread over at the H.A.M.B. - those guys will go nuts over it!
Lordmodelbuilder Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Beautiful car! Your detailing really looks good!
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Like other fellas have said, you hit the look dead on. I always liked the take-no-prisoners attitude of cars like these.
Hmann68 Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Just plain cool!!! Very clean work, and great color choices. It just looks mean and nasty ?
Scott Colmer Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 So many awesome elements to this build. Great execution and styling. I really enjoyed following along.
alan barton Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 I love when someone creates a period perfect model and yet no one piece seems to be a replica of an existing or well known car. Dennis, it just shows how strong your understanding of cars from this era is. I wouldn't change a thing . It makes me realise how I really must get one of my Tudors out of the stash and get on with it! Thanks for sharing it with us all. Cheers Alan
Daddyfink Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Such a cool build and it was fun to follow your progress!
Greg Myers Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Everyone seems to like this' I do too. Nice clean thoughtful build. A sure contest winner in my book.
Dennis Lacy Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Thank you, everyone, for your nice comments! I'm really happy to finally have this model finished, it's been a long time coming. This one was a bit of a challenge to work on since the frame is molded as one with the fenders and floor, especially since the top side of the fenders, bottom side of the fenders, top side of the floor, bottom side of the floor, frame and running boards all had to be different colors. Lots and lots of masking which nearly burned me out!
