Looking for a friend - any Austin Healy kits of the 100-6 or the 3000 that are NOT the revell multi piece body?  Not excited about having to build that if there is a better alternative.

Thanks for any tips you may havae.

The Revell kit builds up well because the seams are where the real Healey seams are so you don't have to worry about them.  I did change the wheels on the one pictured below. The Strombecker is very simple with no engine and larger than 1/24.

You have a PM coming.

I need to get another one of these.  I got ahold of one, but between being glue bombed and short shot I just ended up tossing it.  It was a nice kit, though.

I quite often have a look round for Austin Healey 3000 kits or diecast, in both 1:43 and 1:24 scale, but usually it is the Austin Healey 100-6 that comes up in larger numbers. The K&R Replicas version of the 3000 is nice, and as you say, it is a bit pricey at £94.00 GBP....... The Revell kit is the 1:25 scale Austin Healey 100-6, and although it looks to be very good, it is not the 3000 that I would like to find.

My dentist had a 3000 in 1:1 for a while and that was a truly beauitiful car.   Would love to find a replica of that.

This is another one of those cars that is (almost) painfully underserved in the model world, especially considering its rather iconic status in sports cars - both the 100-6 and the 3000.  One of these days I will have to pop for that K&R kit of the 3000.
