Carmak Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 There are a few people on E-pay selling a resin 67/68 grille that has some extra "metal" around the edge so that it fits into the 72 C10 grille opening. Has anyone tried one?
jjsipes Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I haven't tried one but that is one generation truck that needs to be tooled up. Revell has a chassis they could from their 65 C-10. Moebius would be a great manufacturer for this to go along with their Ford lineup
my80malibu Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Heard a Rumor years ago, Mobius was going to do the same concept, that was done with the Ford Pickups, and apply that to the Chevy's, 67 to 72 short, and long beds. Now would be a Great time to unveil something New like that.
89AKurt Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I got that grill, have not built anything yet. I owned a '69, and currently a '68, you be the judge. The taillights are horrible nevertheless.
Dave Toups Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I'd love to see a new tool 67. I have some 70 grilles to backdate the 71-72. I never cared for the "eggcrate" grille on those. To backdate a 72 to a 67 you also need to replace the hood. I never realized they were different until recently.
dino246gt Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Yes Mobius would be the logical manufacturer to tackle this void in kits, short and long, stepside and smoothside, 2 wheel drive and 4X4, 67/68, and 69-72, various kits with interchangeable parts just like they did with the Fords. And throw a Suburban in the mix!
