Oh, I get it now. EVERY Deuce is "perfect."

A wise friend of mine once said "Different strokes, for different folks, and so on and so on and doobie doobie do....B)"

A deuce is a deuce and I would not turn any of them away.  Of all the ones posted I really was turned on by the green one in the third row of Ace's post. Moon discs, wide white, channeled, looks mighty fine.

Not everyone, but a lot of them are pretty good, and there is more than one approach that works.

I'm seeing lots of inspirational material, and it's a nice change from the threads where everyone chimes in about what they hate.   I'm okay with this.

If yous guys want more pics, just let me know... There's plenty more on the h.a.m.b. I could dig up.... ?

I'm sure there are, but the thread title's not "Post Pics of Some Cool Deuces."  I posted pics of one that I thought was as close to perfect (to ME, of course) as any I've ever seen. If I had the money to custom build a real deuce to my exact specifications, that's just about exactly what it would look like.

Others have other ideas of "perfect," of course. I get that.

But posts with 6 or 8 or 10 pics of cars in completely different styles....uh, they can all be nice, but they can't all be perfect. Pick one.

There ya go, Rick, you get it. B) You like 'em all, but you picked a favorite. "Perfect"! Well, maybe not perfect, but close enough to make it to the top of YOUR list of the ones posted here.  B) (It's not my type at all, but I do dig the F-89 in the background. B))

How about a chopped 3-window with a Hemi, on steel wheels...

That one's not bad at all. I'd like an inch or two less chop, and a little more width on the back tires, and maybe the red wheels painted black...I could work with it.  I'd give it about an 8.8 out of 10. Seen a lot worse. B)

I posted my "perfect" one, but any of the other cars would suit me just fine as "perfect" if I had decided to build in that style.

So many possible '32 Fords, so little time...  B)

Well, that's an important part of "perfect"--picking your favorite style in which to build. B)

Like I said before, for me, it's not so much about the actual parts as how they work together, and there are different combinations of parts that will still accomplish that.

I'm looking at these pics, and I'm starting to get some ideas about what to do with the Revell Deuce Coupe I have in my stash.

Well, see...it's kinda like women. The '50s Vogue-model style really lights my jets, but a hippy chick in bellbottoms with long flowing hair works about as good. Then there's sultry redheads in satin, and little beach-girl brunettes...get my drift?   ;)

But you can't marry them all. Get my drift? Pick oneB)

Hell...I'm lucky these days to even get a date with one that doesn't scare the cat. :D

EDIT: But that doesn't keep me from noticing that there are still lots of 'em out there, any one of which could be my forever favorite if she was parked in my driveway.  B)

Love it but IMHO it would be more perfect without the pinstripes.  Something like this:

For me it would be the Nitti roadster. Just right from any angle. Classic and timeless.

This! This right here! A rolling sculpture with its subtle styling. Just the right amount of rake and chrome.  And those wheels with the baby moons and wide white walls, they contrast the dark maroon body perfectly! To me, it’s the perfect deuce!

And it has a Flathead that's a plus

Looks like you were at Deuce Days in Victoria BC - the biggest Deuce show in the world. Did you make it to Deuce Days in Scale - the model car show the same day?

Well they all look the same for the uninitiated.

Though for me arguments for what is "Traditional" are getting boring.

They have got to the point where a simple thing like a radiator hose or a

coil wire puts you off the map.

REAL Hot Rodding for me, not poser stuff.

I don't think these cars looked this good back in the day.

Yah I'm sure there nice builds, $$$$$!

(Bump steer is traditional)HA HA.

Don't take my words too seriously and build those perfect Deuce's.

What makes me crazy is you can come up with something that is period perfect, and people will still bust your chops that it isn't "traditional"

"Traditional" basically seems to mean "read our minds to find out what it really is."

What is "real" hot rodding?  Who knows?  Those guys hopping up old Hondas and Toyotas are probably closer to the spirit of those early hot rodders than anybody working on any 80 year old Ford.
