vamach1
Not what everyone would expect when they hear Mach1 but here's may take on the little jewel as Mr. Iacocca called the 2nd generation Mustang that out sold the previous three years by a landslide. THANKS Mldbldr for many parts supplied for the build. Edited September 25, 2019 by vamach1
'70 Grande
Looks just like I remember the 1:1's! Great paintwork and detailing on that interior! Put a license plate on it and we should take her out for a spin!
Sledsel
I like it........... A lot! Perfect 70's vibe emitting from it.

Modlbldr
Rex, Glad to see it finished. Happy that I could help. It turned out fantastic and I like the detail work you put into the wheels. Yes, not what you would expect for the Mach 1 build. Later-

Peter Lombardo
Owned a 1975 mach 1 in yellow, not as good a car as the earlier versions, but it was fun. Nice build, brings back memories, the red looks really nice on the car.
Tom Geiger
I always thought the Mustang IIs were the first retro car. It mimicked the original Mustang in an interesting but yet modern for the times way. When I met my wife she owned a '74 coupe with vinyl top and V6. It was a comfortable car to drive, I drove on a few long trips without any issues. She traded it in on a new Fox body '79 Capri RS with a V8... now that was a real piece of junk! Had problems with it from the beginning, traded it with 35,000 miles on it just to rid ourselves of evil spirits! And to add insult to injury, someone a few blocks away from us bought the '74 from the Mercury dealer lot so we had to see it every time we passed! Jim N
Great work! My wife owned a 77Mustang when we met. It was a typical car for the era. Very under powered, but they all were as getting good gas mileage was the only thing most people really cared about.

cobraman
You nailed the look of the Mustang ll I bought new in 74. It of coarse had a V6 as the V8 was not available till the next year. It was a good car. In 78 I did get the V8 in the King Cobra I bought. Low on HP for a 302 but I really liked that car and seldom saw another one. I have read that if were not for the Mustang ll the Mustang name could have ended in 73.

Bob Ellis
Some people bad mouth the Mustang II. I had a 1976 Cobra II that I bought when I Belvoir, VA in 1979. I was driving my1972 Torino on Edsal road when it died. It had been costing me $100 / week to keep running. I had contacted Jerrys Ford, and a retired Army Colonel got me a ride there. The 3 year old 1976 Cobra II cost me $3200. It was air conditioned and I was happy about that in the DC area during the Summer. It was no Pinto. The doors were heavy. The V6 was no terror but it moved okay with the 4 speed. It finally pulled a full U-Haul trailer down I 85 to Atlanta, GA in 1981.I sold the Mustang II in 1982
