No, it was a new kit by Revell originally released in 2012, the Rally version was released 2 years later, I've built many of the Tamiya versions, and one of the Revell Coopers, the Revell is a much better kit to put together.

Thanks, I'm going to have to pick one of these up. Its not often you hear of a Revell that is better than a Tamiya.
