Here is my 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air that I finished up today. There are some kits that you build, and you say to yourself, "I'd build that again." Well, this isn't one of those kits. It's together, it looks the part, and I'm moderately pleased with the results. The dash gages are from Best Model Car Parts, the driver's side mirror is from the Revell 1957 Ford Gasser kit, the radio antenna is a straight pin, and I have no idea where the rear view mirror is from.

Thanks, guys.  I thought about putting the attachments on the bumpers, but they were poorly molded with large sprue attachment points. they would have looked like hell.  I like toe smooth bumper look, too.

Thanks, guys.

David, all I did was white glue the pin to the front fender.  It's probably not the most accurate antenna, but it fits the part.

Nice looking '55. Is that the kit-supplied engine? While it is technically correct, most V-8 '55 Chevies had the optional, dealer-installed oil filter mounted on passenger side of the intake manifold (unless the car had A/C, in which case the filter housing was mounted on the driver's side).

Thanks, guys.

Ray, that is the kit supplied engine.  I just put the optional carburetor, air cleaner, & chrome valve covers on it.  Again, all in the kit.
