DPNM Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 I've found a couple of these 1/32 kits that have piqued my interest. They seem to sell a bit lower than the other name brand kits. Has anyone bought and/or built one of these? I'd like to know how they compare to the more common Revell, Airfix, etc. kits. Are they accurate to the originals design, good fitting parts, (fairly) easy to assemble? Any input would be helpful and appreciated.
stavanzer Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 I found some kit reviews for you. http://modelingmadness.com/review/axis/previews/stevens202p.htm http://modelingmadness.com/review/axis/previews/doerr22101.htm http://modelingmadness.com/scott/axis/previews/13312s.htm https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/21c/kit_21c_22113.shtml https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/21c/kit_21c_22104.shtml https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/21c/kit_21c_22105.shtml https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/21c/kit_21c_22114.shtml and a review. http://modelingmadness.com/review/axis/cleaver/tmc32202.htm http://modelingmadness.com/review/allies/cleaver/us/tmc32f4u.htm Hope this helps.
DPNM Posted November 5, 2019 Author Posted November 5, 2019 Thank you for taking the time to post all these Alan. Much obliged! Being they aren't $10 kits on feeBay anymore I think I will disregard getting one of these and hopefully I can find a name brand kit for around the same price as these are going for. From what I read of the descriptions in the above reviews these kits are too toy like, and not that accurate. Thank you again Alan.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 I got a couple. I found them to be pretty good quality. Most of their stuff across the line was pretty accurate and highly detailed.
DPNM Posted November 7, 2019 Author Posted November 7, 2019 Thank you for your input too Eric. If you own some and don't think they are that bad I will keep that in mind. They seem to sell for about $10 less than the name brands which is too close price wise for me to consider them .I will keep my eye out for them at shows etc. and buy them if they are priced around the point they were when new.
philo426 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 I made the Aeromacchi Fulgore. Not a bad kit although it is molded in a funky neon green plastic.
philo426 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 The Corsair us a nice kit and features folding wings
