Modelbuilder Mark Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 OK FOlks, I have a project in the works, and was wondering if anyone knew which Testors, or model supplier paint most closely resembles Coca cola red. I have looked around the forum here, and online, but I cannot seem to find a match. Any input is appreciated.
Tankman Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 Jameston at Scalefinish will make it for you check him out.
espo Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 I have wondered about the "Coke Red" at times and looking at the product on the market shelves I've come to the conclusion that there is more than one shade of red. This may be rivet counting but I'm pretty good at that sometimes. To my eye the most predominant shade seems to be some where near Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red. or their TS_74 Clear Red over a silver base coat. Again this is based on packaging observed at the market.
Jack L Posted November 10, 2019 Posted November 10, 2019 years ago I repainted a coke box and the DuPont dealer needed the year to mix the right color

Modelbuilder Mark Posted December 22, 2019 Author Posted December 22, 2019 Thanks everyone, I forgot to come back and post that I did end up needing some white from Jameston, and did ask him about the coke red. He did have some already, so it worked out perfect. Thanks to all.
