Dominik Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 awesome work, a ton of details. keep it coming 1
David G. Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 It's nice to see an update on this. Your detail work is excellent. David G. 1
Zippi Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 This is a really sharp looking build. love all the detail work. What is the pulley belt on the engine made of?
Bills72sj Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Most impressive. You are doing a masterful job of a very special subject. 1

What is the pulley belt on the engine made of? The pulley & belt assembly is from MCG (MCG-202). The belt is a thin strip of black rubber. Other pulleys set options would be from Parts by Park (9010) and Mr. Model (MM1019). Adam
adamelvis Posted November 7, 2021 Author Posted November 7, 2021 Fairly pleased with the front end fix. Just need to sand out a few pin holes and then leave it be. Next job is to install the trunk hinges and the trunk alignment. 1
adamelvis Posted December 21, 2021 Author Posted December 21, 2021 Trunk Hinges.. ???? This has been very challenging. I have gone through 4 different variations on custom hinges for this car. The trunk lid is not flat and is shaped to the back contours of the 67' Mustang. Finally figured on a mount that allows you to slide it out and then flip it up. Have to get this thing working so I could display all the work and details that will be inside. Adam
adamelvis Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 Hello Guys, Sorry its been a while since I posted on this build. I have been working on this project for 2 1/2 years on and off. It started to get to me after a while and was turning into work, rather than a hobby. It didn't seem like I was making any progress. SO, I figured I would take a break from Eleanor and start my Fast & Furious Paul Walker Tribute Project (3). First build would be the Mitsubishi Eclipse and I thought I could just bang this one out and say that I finally completed something..!! But, I have OCD and the need to add more detail to my builds, LOL. Well.... Six Months Later and this build is about 70% completed. Just need to paint the body, complete the engine details and do final assembly. You can check it out at my other topic under "Brian's 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse from (The Fast and the Furious)" As for the Eleanor ...... I'm still working on her. LOL !! Stay tuned for updates and new photos. TCB, Adam

I have seen a lot of clones in many other colors besides the metallic gray. I painted a very light coat of color shift paint over Ford blue. Edited November 29, 2022 by vamach1 2
adamelvis Posted December 12, 2022 Author Posted December 12, 2022 Primed & Sanded. Ready for the Metallic Black base coat. Afterwards, I will be laying down the tape for the stripes. 2
gman Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 That is looking extremely good so far. I was impressed by the 1:1 when that movie came out, and it looks like you are doing that 1:1 justice.

Funkychiken Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Love seeing this come together, looks great so far! 1
David G. Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 It's nice to see this one back on the bench. Looks great in primer. David G. 1

adamelvis Posted January 29, 2023 Author Posted January 29, 2023 Finally a colour other than Primer .. LOL! This is the first base coat of the “Eleanor Metallic Black”, which will be the colour of the stripes. Need to sand out a few dust particles and will spray another coat. Then I will lay down my stripes with tape. TCB. Adam 1
David G. Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 The bodywork looks nice and smooth under the paint. David G. 1
speedy5963 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Very nice build, love the detail work in this 1
adamelvis Posted February 16, 2023 Author Posted February 16, 2023 Couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the stripes. Zero bleed through with the tape. I used a combination of Tamiya yellow Masking Tape and Tamiya Masking Tape for Curves. Next is the decals and then Gravity Colors 2K Clear Coat. TCB, Adam 3
