What do you think of this booth now?  Have you had a chance to use it much?  Thanks

Same Pace Peacekeeper, hard plumbed to outside. I added my own LED light strip, not permanently affixed yet in this photo. I have both on a power strip so they go on and off together.

I've had this one since September and love it. I use spray cans and it handles spray and fumes completely.  I changed the filter monthly and there is absolutely no leakage to the other side. Filters are standard cheap 12x24 ones that are $5 each when bought right.

Dont mess with cheap ones or the “fan in a cardboard box” options. The Pace unit is on sale right now for $250 postpaid. You’ll spend maybe another $50 for ductwork and lights.

Money well spent. But good tools once and they will serve you the rest of your life. You will soon forget the price but will eternally benefit!

I have this same unit and have used it for a few years now. While I like it fine the filters are a bit of an issue. The filters from the manufacture are very pricy and are marginally effective. I have been making my own using generic foam type filter material. I have been getting my filter material from Home Depot, but I'm sure most any hardware story would have the material needed. I just cut the material to size to fit in the filter location. For the exhaust I'm using laundry dryer duct material. I prefer the expandable aluminum rather than the plastic. When not in use the ducting can be curled up and put on a shelf without disconnecting it from the back of the blower. I have a door leading out of our basement where I do my painting and just open the door enough to put the dryer hose through the opening when in use.

I’ve had my Pace booth since the summer and it has been great! It is fairly quiet, is very effective in evacuating fumes away from your work and you, and well built. Plus Bob Pace is a great guy to speak with over the phone. Spray booths vary greatly in design and quality... my only complaint is that I didn’t get one years ago.

Cheers Misha

Yes I love it, moves fumes very well!

Thanks for the information and reviews, guys.  My big decision is whether to buy, or build.  I have a nice Jenn-Air exhaust fan that is itching to be incorporated into a project.  There is also a certain appeal to buying and being done with it.  Glad to know those units are working well.

What is the filter material called David. I'd like to order some. I've been soaking the original filters in the purple pond and reusing them. But they are getting worn and out of shape.

What I'm using right now is a foam type material that is designed for window mounted air conditioners. The material is actually a composite of two different density layers of foam. The sheet of foam is 15" x 24" and about 1" thick and I can cut it to size with a box cutter. I would think that any hardware store in your area would have this or something just like it. I have not been able to find a standard furnace filter size that will work but this works fine for me and it isn't expensive. I had to repaint a model I'm working on this morning and there is a good air flow coming out of the exhaust tube and no paint residue

Home depot list several 12x24 furnace filters with free ship to store delivery fwiw. Several grades of them, some are 12 to a carton.

I have this same version (not sure if the exact same model, but they all appear to be the same).  I get my filters from MicroMark.  They have a 5 pack for around $23.  This is usually the best price I have found.

They look the same , just a different manufacture and I don't think that would matter. As randman mentioned Micro Mark has the manufactures paper filters, but these might be a good alternative and as I mentioned they have worked fine for me.

My Jeepster long hardtop resin piece arrived! It’s one piece and very nicely molded. Chris said the mold is shot, but he was able to coax one more part out of it for me!

Here it is just sitting, raw resin as received, on my Jeepster!

I used mine today. It worked well but the fumes were still quite heavy.

Thanks for the tip. I ordered 2 rolls. Did you know you can soak them in Purple Power and reuse them a few time?
